Branch Out!:
- Creates a climate of mutual respect and appreciation among school age kids.
- Assists educators in their efforts to reduce school violence and meet the increased demands on our schools systems to teach and develop social skills.
Your contribution to Cultivating Connections' Donation Program will
give a copy of Branch Out! to the school or youth organization and provide training for their staff.
Branch Out! is a unique game and curriculum used to:
- Reduce violence and bullying
- Establish a positive school climate
- Enhance interpersonal skills
- Improve student self-esteem and sense of belonging
- Build cross-cultural competencies
- Facilitate career development
- Leverage existing social skills programs i.e. Second Step
Its strength and uniqueness is the ability to connect people of all ages and backgrounds, allowing common experiences, beliefs, and feelings to be discovered and personal barriers to be broken down.
Wide application of Branch Out! in schools, youth organizations, faith communities, clubs, and camps can dramatically change the way young people interact with one another, resulting in less violence and intolerance in schools and communities. Helping students gain insight into themselves and others encourages their commitment to creating a safe and respectful environment for all.

There is one girl in particular who did not speak during the sessions (I observed) and when we did this today, she CAME ALIVE! It was amazing! The girls reported feeling 'closer' today than before.
