Why is my gift so important?		When you make a gift to Eppard Vision, you are doing more than helping to underwrite the budget for programs and general operating expenses. Annual giving builds our financial strength by providing spendable income for our ongoing mission and laying the foundation for our future. You are also allowing Eppard Vision to fulfill its commitment to children right now. When Eppard Vision applies for funding grants, one of the first questions asked of us is "What other sources of funding do you have?" Institutions offering grants want to know that the community we serve helps support our programs. That's why it is important for you to show your support now. Each year we rely on support from individual and corporate donors to enable us to meet the challenge of fulfilling Eppard Vision's mission. If you work for a matching gift company, your gift could double or even triple in amount.
Why give now?		Current needs include funding violence prevention programs in public schools, providing scholarships for summer and after school extracurricular activities, and providing Branch Out!® to schools and organizations that cannot otherwise afford it. Branch Out!® costs $500 per copy and is suitable for up to 30 children, while after-school and summer tuition for many programs can be over $100 per child per week.   Your donation of $500, $250, or $100 will help us with these and other programs. Any amount will help; and you can make monthly donations or a lump sum donation, whichever is easier.
What is the difference between restricted and unrestricted gifts?		You can make gifts that are specifically designated for certain purposes such as scholarships, equipment, or specific programs. You may also make unrestricted gifts. Unrestricted gifts are monies donated toward general operating expenses. These funds are not "earmarked" for a specific need, but can be used by Eppard Vision where the need is greatest.
Will my company match my gift?		Many companies encourage their employees to contribute annually to community organizations such as Eppard Vision.. They do this by agreeing to match the employee's gift. All you need to do to take advantage of this program is, obtain your or your spouse's company's matching gift form (generally found in the Human Resources or Personnel Office), fill out the form, and return it to us with your personal contribution.
Is my gift tax deductible?		Absolutely. Eppard Vision is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization. Your gift as a contribution in support of Eppard Vision is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
